Our office has had an unusual year, as most of you have as well. We have relished the opportunity to treat so many wonderful patients. That opportunity makes our profession very rewarding. Thank you for letting our office assist you and your family’s orthodontic needs. We appreciate the confidence you have in our office.

This past year, Dr. James Stork joined our practice with the goal of a long-term partnership. Though Jim and his wife Jenna have enjoyed becoming a part of Joplin and our practice, they have decided the distance from their families is too great. Jim lost his father a few months ago and now his grandmother has some medical issues that make the distance a great concern. This was not the plan from the outset, but some unexpected issues changed the direction of their lives. They will be staying with us until the end of March 2012 and then plan to move to Des Moines, Iowa. Jim will be back occasionally after March to see patients with us as he starts his own practice in Des Moines. Jim has a bright future and we hope you will join our team in wishing him well.

My team and I will continue to serve patients with the highest level of orthodontic treatment and strive to make this a smooth transition for all patients. We will still have extended hours for the convenience of patients. I will be working some additional patient hours in order to accommodate our patients’ needs. As with all decisions in our practice, high quality orthodontic treatment is our ultimate goal to best serve the patients that trust us with their treatment.

We wish you a Happy New Year and thank you again for your trust in LaFerla Orthodontics.

Sincerely,

Dr. Michael R. LaFerla and Team
